There are situations where you need to pack a gsw with gauze but a tampon is a terrible thing to use for that and you’d be better off using a tshirt or something.

When I met the mate in the tender to bring me aboard I requested to be moved into a specific cabin (to avoid being put in the one that shares a bulkhead with the engine room water tight door which is clanged loudly every half hour for safety checks). If you have room to stock up they’ll keep for months, I still have a squash or two from our last summer harvest.

Aside from all the world famous obvious answers the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto CA was unexpectedly good. Saw a boot from a space suit, Shaq’s giant sneaker, a golden sandals that belonged to a king and lots of other cool stuff.
I’m sure it works but any other method of closing the bag from the top two rows are better imo, at least for bread.
