I don’t think they really existed yet in his era. You’ve got to remember that Australia, a much younger country, invented the secret ballot. It was known as the “Australian Ballot” for a long time.
Aldi announced that it it looking to hire thousands of new workers, as well as increasing their minimum wage to $18 and $23 an hour.
My read on this, is that they are discussing the minimum for two separate positions. Potentially cashier and team leader. Would make sense as they don’t have many employees on shift at a time.
We don’t have it in Australia either apart from Aldi.
It really is. The fact “up to” can mean either a maximum value, or an increase to a value, is stupid.
It does still have some issues, but it is being heavily worked on and has been for 12-18 months at this point. Has taken huge strides, and if you’re in the beta channel you’ll see lots of work being done.
There is, check out the Music Assistant add-on for Home Assistant.
I’ve not heard taking keys done as a strike action before but I love it.
The Reminders app is also the stock app that handles syncing reminders with all your signed-in accounts. Most things include them as part of calendar syncing :)
It also seems straight up dangerous, for themselves and others, at least on downhill trails. If they’re going down them, well, it’s already dangerous enough for beginners (who always seem to ignore the difficulty ratings) without adding extra speed. But the issue I’ve seen time and again is folks riding those things up the trails that people are actively trying to ride down. They were never designed with two-way traffic in mind, and going up it just chews it up even more.
What do you think this platform is for other than having discussions, which naturally lead to differing opinions. Why are you being a jerk? You said:
> You don’t need a $5000 pro camera to get started, but at leat something better than a simple point and shoot would be preferable to start. Like a decent prosumer DSLR.
I agreed with the first part, a P&S isn’t great. I disagreed with the second point, as a DSLR is already on the high end. There’s a happy medium. You then tried to tell me I was confused? About what? I don’t consider it an entry-level suggestion?
Chill out mate.
I’m not confused, and you didn’t suggest either of those in your comment. My point is that you are the cause of the problem in the OP. People already in the hobby suggesting you need x to do photography, when x is significantly more expensive than y which is a more appropriately priced entry with similar features. DSLR bodies are about twice the price of an MFT body with similar specs. I’ve never used a P&S without manual mode either. Just let people enjoy hobbies, not everyone earns a wage that’s enough to drop a couple of thousand just to have fun.
MFT and APS-C both have full manual modes. But okay, I guess just fulfil the meme? A DSLR is overkill for almost all beginners, and this sort of advice pushes people out of hobbies they might enjoy.
You really don’t need to start out with a DSLR either though. A Micro Four Thirds body is plenty decent for a beginner, and these days the range of lenses is great.
Don’t forget about the people in all of the other cars on the road. For example, Tesla’s have repeatedly plowed into stationary emergency vehicles.
Don’t the Bell riots have to happen first? :c
You would think, after Challenger and Columbia, that NASA would have a lower threshold for these things as well.
Because we aren’t actually that similar? Not that I blame you, a bunch of my own countrypeople are convinced of the same thing. In my opinion, Australia is the example of what the US could be with actual election laws:
So yeah, our politicians do get up on their soapbox and bluster on a lot like your politicians. But the will of the people is much closer to reality here, and there are no undecided voters. And when you threaten popular things like universal healthcare, or ignore 65% of the population approving of gay marriage, you tend to lose elections. Hell, our right wing party tried some of the transphobic rhetoric at the last election and they’re now in Opposition…
I do want to strongly note, that my country is FAR from perfect. Even the US has treaties with it’s indigenous populations, which enjoy some level of self-government. Australia still does not. Progress slows down here, and it takes steps backwards at times. However, we aren’t exactly goose-stepping our way back to the 1950s like y’all are.
IRL or in the apocalypse? I mean in either case you have to not be using power while it charges. A dead e-bike is way more work than a regular bike. There would also inherently be a fair bit of loss in the mechanical>electrical>mechanical conversion.
I can’t tell if you’re making a joke, but cats are definitely domesticated.
