One time I was playing modded Skyrim when it froze/crashed at the loading screen

So I summon task manager, it hides behind the frozen game. I alt+tab and start blind keying to Skyrim to end it, been here hundreds of times, but nothing happens and the Skyrim world music STARTS???!!!

ALT+TAB to see TM and Skyrim both reporting non-responsive. Tab to Skyrim and press w, clearly hear character moving and reacting to my input

Try again to end process via ALT+F4, No dice. Try via TM, still unresponsive

I had to reboot my PC with a hard power button press that time and I still don’t fully understand what the FUCK happened

That means I have to leave my phone plugged into the computer while it installs rather than take my phone to browse memes on while I shit or whatever

Funny enough here in the rural parts of CA I’ve seen Raleys and Holiday Markets putting in large community areas with amenities like cheap (sometimes free) printers, office space, children’s areas, etc.

It’s the first floor that you encounter of a building, not the zeroeth floor you encounter

Normal human convention is to count physical existing items from 1, I wouldn’t say I’m wearing 0 shirts right now at work for example, or that I’m wearing 1 shoe

In order to get symmetry, floor 0 should be the ground floor

Floor 0 is “not in the building”, nobody calls first/ground “0” in reality

Then, we apply your own logic of adding a floor on going up to include “going in” and vice versa for “going out” and we get why the US does it the way we do

I carefully got what I expected my party to get through for their first few sessions as maps into Roll20, fog of war so that they can only see what they’d reasonably have seen so far themselves, mood music set to play when going to the appropriate screens, snacks, and a big ass black cloak and evil laugh. I’ve done a lot of office positions, which require a lot of typing. The level of the job isn’t nearly as important as the field

I know it’s hard to imagine but there are a lot of blue collar jobs that use computers but don’t care if you type fast

If one is required to perform the action of typing regularly for their job then one would hope they have skill at it

Every job I’ve ever interviewed for that wasn’t physical labor asked for my typing speed and took my incredibly fast speed as a big bonus, even the ones where typing was only a minor part of what I would have been doing
