Partially. Partially it’s the fact that Madrid as a club are hated for being powerful. And vini is the kind of player no defense wants to face. The kind of player who’ll humiliate defenders and cause chaos. And once it started and crowds managed to get a reaction out of him, crowds across the country realised they can rile him up now. Also they don’t like him for talking against Spain and their clubs and fanbases.

There’s quite a few factors at play

Everyone hates vini in Spain, there’s always whistles, booing, insults and racist chants. Always.

It’ll work out, Madrid have been reliant on left wing overloads for over a decade now. The reason it looks bad is the lack of the quarterback Kroos. The buildup and on the ball system has been ripped to shreds. Hes the biggest loss since Ronaldo and perhaps even more difficult to cover for on the short term.

But atleast there’s a new crop of managers coming through and I suspect we’ll have a few long term appointments now.

The point regarding seeing the world from anothers view reminds me of ‘Story of your life’ by Ted Chiang, a brilliant short story that also has a movie based on it (Arrival) which is also my favourite movie despite the, imo, botched ending.

As the lead character learns the aliens language and can now interpret time and generally the world they do, you get to a different kind of consciousness.

As I type this out I relaize its actually kind of off topic after all lol.

The players bodies tend not to be developed to play at this intensity of the top division and you can see that with a few of them. Also the injury situation there shows that. There’s decent potential with the squad but no experience, no long term vision and no depth in the squad. I think they will do well up to the midseason and then crash and burn.
