It is a matter of responsibility. If you can log into any lemmy instance or mastodon server with the same account, then which server takes responsibility for your actions in the fediverse?
I have seen instances be defederate from because of their lax account creation requirements, or because of harrasment from users from a specific instance.
If an account can log into any instance, then who is responsible for banning the account?
Since the speed is infinite, the wavelength is always zero, no matter the frequency. But a wavelength of zero at infinite speed means an infinite number of waves hit the eye in any constant amount of time. Hence, and infinite amount of energy hits the eye at practically the same moment. But assuming your eye (and all of the universe) does not incinerate instantly, you will not be able to see the difference between red and blue, since they are perceived to have the same wavelength (zero). So yeah, technically you no longer have blue/redshifting.

Lemmy tags all posts with the language they are written in. Most clients filter any posts not of your selected languages by default. Hence, there is a good chance you never notice German posts.
That is not an opinion though. It is an hypothesis. One that you have enough evidence for to act as if it is true, but not enough evidence to consider it a clear fact.

My physiotherapist stuck a needle in my muscles, instantly relaxing them. That was certainly not a placebo effect, as I didn’t really feel the needle, till the muscle suddenly spasmed into a relaxed state.
He only did it in two or three spots, so it’s not acupuncture in the sense that you become the pincushion for a quilting enthousiast. But it certainly is sticking needles into your skin for a medical reason. The proper medical term is dry needling.
Where I live, the places that do blood donations, also do plasma donations. The process is longer, but is otherwise a similar experience. And since plasma is extracted from blood, it is not entirely wrong to argue that people can get paid for blood donations in the US. It is not accurate, but I would argue the statement is probably based on a truth.

Question is: will the meme evolve in a similar fashion that we see modern memes evolve? Or does the fact that it has a single author prevent this natural evolution?

What does his character want to achieve? And what are his ideals? Then try to give him objectives to work towards.
For example: his goal might be to find a fabled ingredient. You can then drop hints on where to find it. Or he might want to be the most renowned chef in the world, after which you insert a cooking competition that requires special ingredients (that just so happens to be found in the same dungeon the party was supposed to head to anyway).
As for examples on ideals: Feed anyone that is hungry (without harming them via the food). Try to cook/eat anything (causing them to want to hunt/gsther stuff. Never use your hands to fight, to keep them clean for cooking (might need some reflavouring of abilities).
These examples make, that his cooking gives his character a reason to do things, rather then just be the thing he does.
Neither of you will remember how many dice were used to slay that monster. But the memory of how his character sliced up the monster for ingredients, only for some treasure or quest item to pop out of the belly, will certainly remain.
Could be age/health issues. Could be she doesn’t like the litterbox filler that you use.

Discord also does group calls, with or without video. In a server, a ‘channel’ can be a voice channel instead of a text channel, or you can start calls directly with people.

My dad is in the early stages of dementia. This has been quite draining on my mom. As a result, she had been pushing him to go to a kind of day care for dementia patients. She tried over and over to convince him by telling him he would like it there, with absolutely zero success. My dad is way to stubborn to admit such a thing.
Eventually she told me about this, and I advised a change of strategies: tell him how he can help you. Focus on your needs, not his happyness. Because, although he is stubborn, he is also the kindest and most willing-to-help person I know.
She ended up telling him telling him, how she needed some time for herself, where she didn’t need to worry about him.
I now have some pictures of him, where he is smiling his ass of while on an excursion with the group of the daycare. Mom was absolutely right about him liking it, but it was useless as an argument to convince him.
Considering the political climate, I’d guess that sending trumps to eachother instead of toots wouldn’t make things any better.
