I don’t think they care. I think they just say they are free loaders because what they really feel is hate towards people of other races and ethnicities, but they can’t say it out load or often even admit it to themselves.

It intentional semantic drift and has been happening for a very long time. They erode harsh terms with hyperbole and make normal positions seem extreme by stereotype and strawman. That’s why I prefer specifying that I’m Mutualist rather than explain how the terms socialist/capitalist have drifted out of dichotomy or how the term anarchist and libertarian have become parodies of themselves.

Except Facebook never used it this was a 3rd party trying to hype up investors. Many audits have been run on these apps and there is no way they use your microphone. It’s way cheaper to just look at your search history.

I think vegans care more about the fact that chickens are kept to produce eggs than anything. On the other hand, there are also many vegans who aren’t ethically vegan, but rather are vegan as a result of an Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder caused by knowing how the sausage and eggs are made and being completely horrified by the idea in the same way many wouldn’t want to eat an eyeball or various other parts of an animal.
