  • Back to back to back garbage takes lmao. Spare us your sanctimonious ‘improving things is unworthy of praise because they didn’t immediately make it perfect’ line of reasoning. It serves only to cause inaction and infighting. I’d much rather some improvement rather than no improvement.

By the way, don’t act like the Ukrainians don’t have a right to defend themselves, and don’t act like this isn’t an existential conflict for them. If you’re so worried about condemning imperialism, then maybe you should take a look at what Russia’s revanchist land grab here would be called, and then consider if maybe we should support the little guy so that they don’t get bowled over by an imperialist power looking to take back the glory days.

    Anyways, nice bait.

  • Eh. Brilliant is maybe a stretch. Acknowledging the abject horror of the situation and putting it aside for the moment, this isn’t the first war where civilians have been targeted intentionally by bombing, and it certainly won’t be the last. Historically, the response to terror bombing such as this has been mixed, as such things are highly dependent on the population in question. Generally, however, the balance leans toward it being mostly a waste of resources. I’m sure the Russians think they’re doing some 4D chess maneuver, but from my perspective they’re just wasting valuable weapons systems (the missile that hit the hospital costs well in excess of one million dollars per and was part of a barrage) on targets which provide little or no military utility.

If I had to guess, this is more about domestic propaganda than anything else, but that’s just conjecture.

  • LOOT is definitely not anything new. I’m decently confident it’s been a thing for over a decade. To clarify: load order is important to make sure no incorrect files or assets are accidentally overwritten in the course of loading the mods onto the base game, as an incorrect load order can cause a lot of issues.

Regardless, it looks like there is a Linux compatible flatpak version on flathub. Here’s the GitHub page. I personally can’t say I’ve used LOOT on Linux, though, only on Windows, as my Skyrim modding days came before I made the switch, so your mileage may vary.
