Perhaps a European ideal of Libertarianism. US liberal politics is a facade of good will to hide the same pro-corporate agenda pushing that the other party does while hiding behind a facade of moral vitriol. US libertarians believe in enforcing one’s own freedoms with force rather than relying on government force to defend your rights. US leftists have no political base in our elections, by design.

How about an awful shambling corpse of a book that’s trying to extend the story from a satisfying ending because the publisher wants more books.
Cultural, for sure. I had to tough it out for the first bit, only really liking the detective. But then when all the main characters got replaced over and over, I began to see humanity as the main character, collectively, and then I was hooked, which I’m sure was the intent as the story spans >!all of time in the universe 2 times over,!< It’s worth revisiting.
Other direction dude… 2nd dimension. Also that spoiler was for a reason.

*the last book (or some 4th book, I forgot) isn’t written by Chixen Liu, but they liked it so much they wrote off on publishing it in the series as a means to wrap up some critical questions.

Maybe publishing houses will never get the memo, but the Helldivers team knew to make a fun game first, and THEN added amazing graphics. If the market prooves they prefer that dev cycle ethos, it will bring change.
It’s more to the point that tasks are easier for neurotypical people to accomplish because the world was built for their minds. Neurodivergent people have to build up skills and workarounds for functions that seem to come naturally to NTs, eventually creating a mosaic of little crutches and scripts to follow in order to fit in or even function at all in modern society.
NDs don’t have “the box.” NTs are born with “the box.” Society says you must stand on the box (that it’s assumed everyone has inherently) in order to participate. So the ND makes their box out of the many tiny tools and workarounds they build to “stand on the box” that they don’t have.
That’s a smoke screen. Another is the “liberal brainwashing machine” school system scare. What they fear is the statistic that higher educated individuals trend towards populism and progressivism. They see higher education of youths as a threat to their political base, which turns into “spineless parents sending kids to liberul brainwashing camps funded by the gubmnt.”
